Lucky you, Eureka voters! You have the opportunity to vote Yes on Measure C and bring Ranked Choice Voting to city elections.

Ranked Choice Voting increases diversity in people running for office. We should have a City Council made up of people who come from different economic backgrounds, cultures and ages. Having diverse representation just works better for problem solving. A variety of perspectives is important for democracy. Ranked Choice Voting gives us those options.

It's just like it sounds: you rank the candidates from the one you'd most like to see in office to the one you'd least like to see. If none of the first choice candidates receives a majority, the candidate with the least amount of first choice votes is eliminated and those voters' second choices are counted. No more worries about splitting votes!
