UPDATE! FOUND SAFE!!!

BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho — Authorities continue searching for 11-year-old twin sisters who disappeared from their home near the Highway 1 and Copeland Road area on July 6, and they are asking the public to remain vigilant as the search enters its third day.

Kiya Jo Eliassen and Arianna Lynn Eliassen were last seen leaving their home on July 6 and have not been located.

Their father, Ken Eliassen, is urging neighbors and community members to continue searching and sharing information.

“It is now past 48 hours. We need neighbors talking to neighbors about checking out buildings and other places for any signs of activity. Some people don’t have social media,” he said. “Especially with two fires going on up there, the girls may have moved farther out of the area.”

Authorities and family members are asking residents, particularly those living near the disappearance site, to check:

* Barns, sheds and other outbuildings
* Campers and RVs
* Abandoned homes or structures
* Other locations where the girls may have sought shelter
* Trail camera and home security camera footage for possible sightings

Description of the missing girls:

* 11-year-old twin sisters
* Approximately 4 feet, 2 inches tall
* Approximately 85 pounds each
* Blonde hair
* Last seen wearing brown sweaters, pajama-style pants and carrying a pink backpack

Anyone who sees Kiya Jo Eliassen or Arianna Lynn Eliassen, or has information about their whereabouts, is urged to contact the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 267-3151 or call 911 immediately.

Investigators continue to ask the public to share the girls’ information, hoping someone may have seen something that could help bring them home safely.

Behind every successful Search and Rescue mission is a support system that rarely receives public recognition. While our volunteers are in the field, their partners and families are at home, managing households, solo-parenting, and maintaining "business as usual" under the pressure of an empty chair at the dinner table.

The "SAR Spouse" is a critical, unofficial member of our operational readiness. Without their willingness to take on the domestic burden during 2:00 AM call-outs, multi-day deployments, and rigorous training schedules, our team simply could not function.

Today, we want to publicly recognize and thank the families of our members. Their sacrifice is the foundation upon which our service to the community is built. 🧡🌲
