Hello Eureka City Schools Community!

As we come to the close of another school year, we’re excited to share Part 3 of our special storytime series with our Community Schools Social Emotional Learning Coach, Emily Lancaster! 📚✨

In this final storytime for the end of the school year, Emily continues helping children explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and strengthen the skills they need to navigate challenges with confidence and kindness. 🧠💙

The end of the school year is a great time to reflect on all the growth, learning, and resilience our students have shown. We hope this story provides an opportunity for meaningful conversations and connection at home as families head into summer.

🌟 Look What We Built! The Great Hula Hut Challenge 🌟

Our learners took on the Hula Hut engineering challenge today, and they absolutely crushed it! 💪

Building these isn't just about stacking hoops; it requires some serious skills:

Teamwork & Communication: Figuring out who holds the base, who secures the top, and how to work together.

Problem Solving: Troubleshooting when a wall leans or a joint slips.

Engineering & Physics: Understanding balance, weight distribution, and structural integrity.

We are so proud of their creativity, perseverance, and the awesome structures they brought to life.
