🚧Construction Notice: Temporary Closure at Redway Transfer Station

The Redway Transfer Station will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, Sept. 22. in addition to the Wednesday and Thursday closures.
To accommodate the next phase of ongoing construction and maintain public safety, the Redway Transfer Station will be temporarily closed. Residents who rely on the transfer station should plan ahead and make alternative arrangements.

🚧Construction Notice: Culvert Repair and Road Closure

Dows Prairie Road will be closed at mile marker 2.68, north of the Woody Road intersection, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Nov. 2026, for a large culvert repair.
Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead. Dows Prairie Road will remain accessible from Crannell Road and Clam Beach Road.

🚧Construction Notice

Storm damage repairs began, Monday, Aug. 24 and will end in Nov. 2026. Construction site will be near Bell Springs Road on mile marker 7.90 and 8.15.

Work will take place on weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Commuters should expect delays greater than 15 minutes with traffic control. Please drive safely through the project site.

This project is funded by Measure O.
The Rohnerville road crew will be paving on Alderpoint Road in Blocksburg from mile marker 24-27. Work will begin on Monday, Aug. 31 through Thursday Sept. 3, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Commuters should expect one-hour delays with traffic control.
Please drive slowly through the project site.

Freshwater road crew will be conducting a culvert repair on Cannibal Island Road at the intersection of John Helt Road. The project is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25. Work will take place between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Commuters are to expect 15-minute delays with traffic control.

A county-wide Measure O project helped preserve roads across Humboldt County communities in Garberville, Redway, Bridgeville, Carlotta, Trinidad, Arcata Bottom, and the California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV).

Road preservation work included chip seals, fog seals, and the first cape seal on Humboldt County roads. A cape seal combines a chip seal with a slurry seal, providing additional protection and helping extend the life of the roadway.

Rohnerville road crew will be paving on Sunny Heights Road in Fortuna beginning Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday Aug.28. Work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
