It’s a joy to see the creativity God has placed throughout Rafiki Villages. In Rwanda, we recently saw this displayed through the art teacher, Arsene, and Rafiki resident, Valante. Together, they designed and painted this beautiful piece—Valante’s very first experience with acrylics. This artwork now hangs framed in the guest house to honor the Home Office, as the Village anticipated their recent visit.

Every gift God gives is meant to point back to him—just as Arsene and Valante’s work reflects his beauty and brings him glory through the creativity he has placed within them.

There’s something special happening in Rwanda.

Each morning, more than 1,200 students in 12 schools are opening God’s Word through the Rafiki Bible Study. In six of those schools, teachers are also embracing the Rafiki Classical Christian Curriculum—learning, growing, and faithfully stepping into a new way of teaching.

Would you pray for these teachers? Pray that they would grasp the heart behind the curriculum, teach with faithfulness, and weave Scripture into every subject. Pray that this work would continue to grow across Rwanda.

Nancy discovered early on that she loved creating—turning simple pieces of fabric into something useful and beautiful. After graduating from Rafiki in Ghana, she began pursuing an apprenticeship in sewing, a path that has proven fulfilling and purposeful.

From skirts to gowns, Nancy is honing her craft and finding joy in watching her designs come to life. Recently, she took the initiative to sew skirts simply for the opportunity to practice and serve others, and her joy was unmistakable when her work suited her friends perfectly.

Nancy’s story reflects a larger truth: whether through a trade, a profession, or a calling yet to unfold, each step our graduates take becomes an opportunity to serve the Lord and bless others. Their faithfulness in the work before them is a testimony to his provision, guidance, and purpose at work in their lives.
