On Thursday, we had our final Summer Reading event! After the Cat in the Hat helped us say some dinosaur names, we made some dinosaurs of our own using recyclable items! It was fun to put 17 creative minds to work!
Thank you to everyone who made these four events possible!
Reading logs may be brought in or dropped in the Book Drop until August 13, the first day of school. We will get your coupons for treats to you or The Creamery!
Story Time will resume after Labor Day! Please follow us on Facebook for updates!
Enjoy the last hot days of Summer with a good book!

On Thursday, when 22 children and their adults arrived at the library for Summer Reading, there were big foot prints on the floor! It turns out that some dinosaurs had stopped by and laid some eggs for them to open to find some dinosaur treats! We also "unearthed" the story, When Dinosaurs Came with Everything and imagined what it would be like to have some of them visit our backyards. I am delighted to check out many books for the children to read as they continue to meet their reading goals.
Our last Summer Reading event will be on Thursday, July 23, at 10:00! We will have another dinosaur story and more dinosaur activities.

At Summer Reading this week, July 9, at 10:00, we will be unearthing a dinosaur story and opening some dinosaur eggs to see if we can find some babies! Please join us and bring your completed reading logs to receive coupons for treats at the Creamery!

The library will be closed Saturday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day. Have a blessed and safe day celebrating 250 years of freedom!

On Thursday, fireworks went on sale, and we prepared for the USA's 250th birthday at Summer Reading by sharing the book, A Fourth of July Adventure, in which we travelled back in time to learn about 3 important dates in the history of our nation and looked at a present day of celebrating our independence. Then we had fun making quiet fireworks and patriotic bracelets, many of which were eaten before they reached home! We were delighted to welcome 27 children who checked out 59 books. Many children met their reading goal and are ready for a treat from The Creamery!
During our last two events, July 9 and 23, we will be unearthing some dinosaur stories and activities.
