Good Afternoon, contrary to what many people may have heard circulating, Greene County Ambulance Service is running and DOES have an active EMS Service license - verifiable by the Alabama Office of EMS website or by simply calling to verify.

ASAP EMS has been in Greene County assisting Greene County Ambulance due to a severe staffing shortage. However, we are getting our staffing corrected and are working with the Alabama Office of EMS to ensure that we are meeting the requirements according to the state rules.

We appreciate the continued support from the citizens of Greene County, ASAP EMS, Greene County Commission, and all other municipalities and local government agencies.

GCAS helping our neighbors in Pickens today. GCAS alongside Aliceville Volunteer Fire Department, Dancy VFD and Pickens County Sheriff department responded on a single vehicle accident. Two transported by GCAS and one flown out by Air Care of Mississippi.
