After today, we’re down to TWO full days of school and 3 half days left in the 25-26 school year. What better way to celebrate than with a staycation version of a splash pad, complete with a unicorn sprinkler. Thank you to our teachers who set this up for their classes!

Earlier this year, EMPS was awarded a grant from National Association of Federally Impacted Schools to create an outdoor learning space in our courtyard. This afternoon, our kindergarten students planted pumpkin plants that they have been studying this year after reading Pumpkin Jack by Will Hubbell.

A big thank you to Meeks Trucking for donating the soil for our garden beds! This helped us stretch our budget to allow for two teaching areas within the space.

We apologize in advance for any muddy sneakers that come home today! We rolled out the red carpet (errrr...landscape fabric) for our friends, but the mud was very inviting! According to our weather station, (https://ambientweather.net/share/7AC9vd) we received 1.96 inches of rain yesterday!

Flag Day at Evans Mills Primary School began with a ceremony featuring our SNAP Link Partner from Fort Drum, songs from our students, essay contest winners, a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem by IR Senior General McCoy, a bike giveaway and a parade! After the parade students were able to participate in our Flag Day Carnival.

With more than 60% of our students coming from military connected families, Flag Day reminds us of the commitment from our Armed Forces and our unity as Americans.

Toy Story 5 is coming to the Black River Drive In! If you are going to see the movie, consider seeing it at the Drive In. Each year they donate the use of their facility for our One School One Book night at the movies and seeing Toy Story (or any other movie) here would be a great thank you to them!

Filling the last days of school with all of the fun! A trip to the Antique Boat Museum for our third grade students today, our Kindergarten Luau and awards this afternoon, our 4H students helping to plant flowers along our front sidewalk, and a construction crew in the courtyard installing some play equipment for our preschool friends - all happening today!
