Today, teachers are officially cruising into summer break. However, we have some bittersweet goodbyes to say to some truly incredible members of our RES family.

First, a massive congratulations to our wonderful retirees: Mrs. Quesenberry, Mrs. Ruff, Dr. Hansen, Mrs. Borden, Ms. Key, and Ms. Simpson. Thank you for the endless patience, smiles, and dedication you’ve given to our students over the years. You have left a lasting footprint on our hearts (and our hallways!), and we wish you the most relaxing, well-deserved retirement.

We are also waving a fond farewell to the amazing staff members who are moving on to new adventures and horizons next year: Mrs. Rood, Ms. Stewart, Ms. Boyd, Mrs. Adkins, Mrs. Drake, and Ms. Ferguson. Thank you for everything you’ve poured into our community.

And that’s a wrap on the 2025-2026 school year!

What a great year it has been at RES! We are endlessly proud of our amazing students for their hard work, growth, and efforts this year. To our wonderful families—thank you for your unwavering support, partnership, and dedication. We couldn't do this without our incredible community! ❤️

To celebrate the end of the year, our faculty and staff were treated to a phenomenal luncheon, prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Gardner. We had delicious hamburger and BBQ sliders, an amazing mac and cheese bar, the legendary Green Jacket salad, and plenty of refreshing drinks and desserts. We are so incredibly grateful for their generosity and for giving us the perfect space to unwind and celebrate together.

Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. Walls, thank you for your tireless support and for always defining leadership through service with servant hearts. We appreciate all you do for our faculty, staff, and students each day.

During our time together, we also showered our retirees and departing staff members with love. As they head into retirement or follow exciting new opportunities, please join us in sending them the warmest well-wishes. We will surely miss each and every one of them, and we deeply appreciate the immense dedication and love they poured into RES during their time here. Once a part of the RES family, always a part of the RES family.

We wrapped up our 5th Grade Honors and traditional Clap Out, and our hearts are so full! These students have worked incredibly hard, shown amazing growth, and truly shined this year.❤️

A Huge Thank You to Our 5th-Grade Teachers! This milestone wouldn't be possible without our phenomenal teaching team. Thank you for the love, dedication, and encouragement you poured into our students every single day. You didn't just teach them lessons; you built their confidence and prepared them for the future!

For April, we celebrated Citizenship. These rockstar students went above and beyond to make Riverside a better place! They showed kindness, followed the rules, helped others, and proved what it means to be a positive, contributing part of our school community.
