🚨MISSING CHILDREN FOUND SAFE AND UNHARMED🚨

The Evans Police Department is pleased to announce the safe recovery of two missing juveniles, Eliyah and Naomie Parras. Following an intensive investigative effort, Evans Police Department successfully located both children unharmed.

The Evans Police Department extends its sincere gratitude to the residents of Northern Colorado, community partners, and members of the public who shared information, remained vigilant, and assisted in the effort to locate the children. The overwhelming support and cooperation from the community played a significant role in helping bring Eliyah and Naomie home safely.

Evans Chief of Police Randall R. Darlin said, “For law enforcement, there is no greater relief than knowing that missing children have been found safe. We are profoundly thankful to everyone who assisted in the search, shared information, and never stopped looking. Because of this collective effort, these children are home where they belong. I also want to thank the dedicated members of the Evans Police Department and our partners at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for their tireless work, professionalism, and commitment throughout this search. Their efforts were instrumental in bringing these children home safely.”

UPDATE: UPDATED PHOTOS OF ELIYAH AND NAOMIE HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THIS POST.

The Evans Police Department continues to search for Eliyah Parras (15) and Naomie Parras (12).

Eliyah and Naomie left their residence in the 2300 block of Mission Springs Way during the early morning hours of June 11, 2026. Since that time, investigators have received numerous tips from the public and greatly appreciate the community's assistance. Unfortunately, the children have not yet been located.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for the family, who are desperate to bring their loved ones home safely. We ask our community to keep them in your thoughts and continue sharing information that may help reunite this family.

If you have any information that may assist in locating Eliyah and Naomie, please contact the Evans Police Department at 970-356-1212.

We want to emphasize that Eliyah and Naomie are not in trouble. Our primary goal is to locate them and bring them home safely as soon as possible.

Please share this post to help us reach as many people as possible and bring Eliyah and Naomie home.

47th Avenue is closed between 49th Street and Mesa Verde Drive for a traffic accident investigation. Please avoid the area.

K9 Echo has been on the streets of Evans for several months and continues to prove to be a tremendous asset to our community.

Recently, Echo alerted on a vehicle during a traffic stop, leading officers to the discovery and seizure of 3.8 grams of methamphetamine. While this may seem like a small amount, every seizure helps keep dangerous drugs off our streets and out of our neighborhoods.

This is just one example of the valuable work K9 Echo is doing alongside our officers each day. We are proud of Echo's continued success and the positive impact she is making in helping keep the Evans community safe. 🐾🚓

Our Teen Police Academy was a tremendous success! Middle school students had the opportunity to experience law enforcement up close. They practiced processing crime scenes, interviewing witnesses, and even simulated arrests. The week also included drone and K-9 demonstrations, a chance to meet our SWAT team, and an inside look at their specialized equipment. One day was dedicated to raising awareness about distracted and impaired driving. The highlight? Driving a golf cart through a course that showed how distractions like texting can significantly impact safe driving. It was an amazing week full of learning, fun, and community engagement! 🚓

🚸 Summer School is in Session! 🚸

From June 1st through June 25th, four of our schools will be hosting summer school programs Monday through Thursday. To keep our kids and staff safe, school zone lights will be activated during drop-off and pick-up times! Here’s the schedule for school zone light activation:

Prairie Heights: Drop off: 8:00 - 8:30 AM and Pick-up: 12:00 - 12:45 PM

Heiman: Drop off: 7:45 - 8:15 AM and Pick-up: 12:15 - 12:45 PM

Dos Rios & Chappelow K-8 (shared zone/staggered pickup): Drop off: 7:45 - 8:15 AM and Pick-up: 12:15 - 1:15 PM

Please remember to slow down, stay alert, and follow all school zone rules. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe and make this a fantastic summer for our students!
