Uinta County will hold a surplus sale on August 25–26, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Maintenance Annex Building, located at 5008 County Road 107 Evanston, WY 82930. Available items include excess furnishings, cabinetry, tools, recreation equipment, and miscellaneous items.

Additional Items such as vehicles, tanks, and road maintenance equipment available at different sites throughout Uinta County, see below for details.

All items are first come, first served and must be purchased as cash or check transactions. Items are cash-and-carry only.

NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED

All items are sold “as is” with no implied or actual warranties.

Bid forms must be received at the County Clerk’s Office no later than 4:00 PM on August 26, 2026.

Bids will be opened on August 27, 2026 and awarded at the Commission Meeting on September 1, 2026.

All items MUST be paid for and picked up no later than two weeks after the award date, September 1, 2026.

Uinta County Announces RAVE Alert / Smart 911 to Keep Community Informed During Emergency Situations
Public Safety Officials Encourage Residents to Sign Up For Local Emergency Notifications To Be Better Prepared for an Emergency
Uinta County WY, 8/10/2026 - Public safety officials in Uinta County today announced that RAVE Alert is now available to all residents, replacing the previous CODE Red system. RAVE Alert Smart 911 is a free service that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from state and local authorities to stay informed on potentially hazardous situations involving weather, fire, and other emergencies.
The switch to RAVE allows residents to receive alerts via phone, text and email, and answer poll questions that will give Uinta County Public Safety officials critical information during emergency situations. Individuals who are signed up for alerts will receive reliable information When an Emergency event happens.
Some Individuals who were previously signed up for CODE Red will be automatically enrolled in RAVE but are encouraged to sign up to RAVE to add additional and updated information to the new platform to ensure accuracy. Residents and travelers to Uinta County should sign up for free at https://www.getrave.com/login/uintacounty to receive timely and actionable emergency alerts via email, text, or voice message. They can also identify when and how they are alerted and communicated with before, during, and after emergencies.
“RAVE strengthens Uinta County Emergency Responders ability to communicate with residents when it matters most,” said Sgt Joshua Rasnake with Emergency Management “This service allows for critical communication with the public and provides individuals with the information needed to stay safe or take precautions during hazardous or emergency situations.”
RAVE is trusted by thousands of institutions including the State of Wyoming and other local authorities. RAVE sends millions of messages daily and during critical situations such as severe weather.
