Join us for a meaningful afternoon assembling diaper packs to support local families! We are partnering with Bundled Blessings, a local diaper bank that distributes roughly 47,000 diapers a month to over 900 children in our community. Diapers are a critical expense not covered by federal assistance programs like SNAP or WIC, making them a major gap for families in need. By volunteering your time to pack these essentials, you are directly helping parents access childcare, return to work, and ensure their babies stay healthy.

The Zoller/Kaplan Families Center for Cognitive Wellness was well represented at this year's LeadingAge Illinois Annual Conference, where our team members joined colleagues from across the state to share ideas, learn from one another, and explore the future of aging services.

A special congratulations to Tori Gruber, LSW, MPA, CDP, CJE's Senior Manager of Cognitive Wellness, and Jennifer Weininger, Executive Director of Weinberg Community for Senior Living Community, who led an outstanding educational session highlighting best practices in Adult Day Services and the profound impact these programs have on older adults and their families.

We were honored to share our experience and learn from fellow leaders across the aging services field.

Thank you to LeadingAge Illinois for bringing together so many passionate professionals dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults. We left with new ideas, valuable connections, and plenty of inspiration. 🎉

Travel back to the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893 and experience the first Ferris wheel through film and virtual reality.

The first Ferris wheel was a groundbreaking engineering design for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. This iconic structure provided breathtaking panoramic views of the city and set a precedent for future amusement parks. Join Kelli Marshall of Chicago Movie Tours to learn about the Ferris wheel’s origins and contemporary reactions, as well as its demise and onscreen appearance. We were proud to celebrate the dedication of the Zoller/Kaplan Families Center for Cognitive Services, made possible through the generosity and vision of the Zoller and Kaplan families.

Their support is helping strengthen care and resources for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and mild cognitive impairment, as well as the families navigating this journey alongside them.

“Their generosity enables CJE to deliver a model of care that fosters connection and purpose at every stage of the cognitive health journey,” said Dan Fagin, President and CEO of CJE SeniorLife.

Together, we are expanding what’s possible for individuals and families across our community navigating cognitive change.
