ETHS was proud to join our community in the annual Juneteenth Parade this past weekend. We recognize the significance of this important day in commemorating the liberation of enslaved Black people in the United States and celebrating Black culture and resilience. We were pleased to welcome Dante King, Author to our Leadership Team retreat this week for a 2-day workshop examining the roots of anti-Blackness and actions to counter racism in society and in our own behaviors. ETHS continues to collaborate with thought leaders and experts to deliver professional learning opportunities on anti-Black racism for school leaders with the aim of fostering an inclusive, equitable, and just educational environment. Our commitment to understanding and dismantling systemic racism is integral to our mission, and we strive to empower our leaders to implement meaningful change that supports all students and staff in our community.

Our Fashion and Child Psychology students recently teamed up for a heartwarming project with the kindergarteners at Lincoln Elementary School: The little ones drew their own characters, which our Fashion students turned into adorable stuffed toys. Meanwhile, our Child Psychology students created storybooks to go along with these creations. Our students then visited Lincoln Elementary to hand-deliver these gifts and read the stories to the kids. Seeing their faces light up with joy was everything! 🧸🪡📖
