Since 1970, CNE has been linking local families to high quality early education, child care, and other community resources to help promote school readiness and family stability. All of us at CNE believe that every child deserves to enter kindergarten with the skills and supports they need to succeed, and we strive every day towards that goal.

We have spots in our home visiting program and infant classroom at Swift! We would love for you to become a part of our community! If you know someone who qualifies for SNAP, TANF, WIC or CCAP and has little people, send them our way!
Our Home Visiting Program brings Head Start/Early Head Start services directly to families with children from prenatal to age five through weekly home visits and twice-monthly group activities.
The Center-Based option is a Head Start program designed to provide a quality early education experience to enhance your child's learning and development. For children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old, CNE funds two classrooms at Swift Child Care Center in Skokie.
Our Mission: Connecting all of our youngest learners and their families to equitable, high-quality early childhood experiences that reflect diverse cultures and abilities while fostering a sense of belonging.

Join the City of Evanston Reparations Committee, along with the Small Business Development Center at Oakton College and the Reparations Stakeholders Authority of Evanston to celebrate the inaugural class of the Kickstarter Program!

Following the recognition, join the City of Evanston M/W/D/EBE Committee for a post-reception mixer with local minority, women, and disadvantaged-owned business owners to inspire connection and networking, and to give you a chance to win a mini-grant on the spot. Up to $5,000 will be given away to registered Evanston businesses in attendance that complete the survey!
