Federal grants are designed to support low-to-moderate-income families. The questionnaire isn't just "paperwork"—it’s the key that unlocks funding for our community.

Funding Formulas: Local and state agencies use this data to prove to the federal government that our area needs funding for things like road repairs, park improvements, and public services.

Accuracy Matters: When everyone participates, it ensures the community gets its fair share of resources based on the actual cost of living and income levels.

📢 Attention Residents
You may notice small flags placed throughout some of our city parks. We ask that you please leave these flags in place while our teams complete routine maintenance.

These markers are essential for ensuring the work is done safely and accurately. We appreciate your help in keeping our parks in great shape! 🌳✨

🧼 Crews will be working over the next month or two.

Municipal sewer main jetting (also called hydro jetting public sewer lines) is a big part of how municipalities like Evansville prevent widespread backups and keep wastewater moving to the treatment plant.

These large underground “backbone” pipes run beneath our streets and alleys. They collect wastewater from hundreds of homes and businesses — very different from the private sewer line that runs from your house to the main.
Who’s responsible?
✅ Municipal mains = Town/Public Works responsibility
✅ Private laterals (your house to the main) = Homeowner responsibility

How it works:
Crews use powerful truck-mounted combo units to blast high-pressure water (often 1,000–1,200 PSI with massive water volume) through manholes. The jetting removes grease, roots, sludge, and sediment without harsh chemicals.

This preventative maintenance is done on a regular schedule — Evansville gets cleaned every year, while problem spots (heavy grease, lots of trees, or older pipes) may be jetted quarterly.

You might notice:
During cleaning you could see bubbling or gurgling in your toilets. Just close the lid and limit water use for a short time — it passes quickly!

Help us keep the system healthy:

Never flush wipes, grease, oils, or paper towels
Get your private sewer line inspected/jetted periodically
Report any backups right away

Regular municipal jetting + responsible homeowners = fewer emergencies and a cleaner town for everyone!
