Articles, interviews, podcasts, and surveys are now coming out prior to Nov. 8th election. I have noticed that the incumbent school board members and those who have been on the school board in the past answered Mark Wilson's questions for the Courier & Press as if they copied and pasted them from a manual. I liked the way Julie Lutz Fox, a candidate in District 2, answered the questions.: original, from the heart. Johnny Kincaid's podcast with Ken Colbert, an at-large candidate, was interesting and informative.
My objective for this year's school board election is not for me to win (although it would be nice); it is for members of the community to be elected who care about the children in the Evansville/Vanderburgh County receiving a stellar education. An education that gives each student a solid foundation for their life goals. Place emphasis on reading, writing, math, science, and history. Bring test scores up.
