Vanderburgh County CASA CASA advocates for children who are victims of abuse or neglect and serve as a child’s voice in court

The mission of Vanderburgh County CASA is to support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy in the community and to serve as a child’s voice in court. Vanderburgh County CASA works to establish a safe living environment for abused and neglected children in the community, by providing them with the tools and opportunities to thrive.

We remember our dear friend, Bob Hulsey, a dedicated CASA volunteer, veteran, and someone who touched so many lives with his kindness, service, and unwavering heart.

We were honored to recently welcome Bob home from this year's honor flight, a moment we'll always cherish. Seeing the appreciation and respect shown was a reminder of the incredible person he was and the impact he made both in our community and in the lives of the children and families he served through Vanderburgh County CASA.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest easy, Bob. Thank you for your selflessness, friendship, and your example of a life well lived. 🙏❤️

Every gift helps a child be heard. When people give to CASA, they are helping make advocacy possible in real, practical ways.

🔹A gift of $100 helps provide advocacy for a child for one month.
🔹A gift of $250 helps underwrite new volunteer training.
🔹A gift of $500 helps provide staff support for a CASA volunteer.
🔹A gift of $1,000 helps support advocacy for a child for an entire year.

That kind of support helps children have a voice when they need it most.

Real change doesn’t happen in a single moment—it’s built through consistent, collective effort.

When you set up a recurring donation, you’re not just giving once… you’re showing up again and again for the causes that matter. You’re helping provide stability, planning, and long-term impact for children who depend on CASA's.

Even a small monthly gift can grow into something powerful over time.

If you’ve ever wondered how to make a lasting difference—this is it. 💛
Commit to showing up. Every month. Every step of the way.

Many people ask what a CASA volunteer actually does. The work starts with getting to know a child’s story and taking time to understand that child’s needs and best interests.

A CASA volunteer:

🔹Speaks up for the child in court.
🔹Helps make sure their needs are clearly shared.
🔹Commits 5-10 hours of their time each month to provide support for our community's most vulnerable children.

It is serious work, but you do not need a legal background to do it well. What matters most is compassion, consistency, and a real desire to show up for a child who needs a steady voice.
