Next spring, about 50 smaller native flowering trees will be added in the area.

Six community tree planting events are planned across Evansville this March and volunteers are needed to help grow the city’s tree canopy. More details in comments below

🌳‼️Bradford Pear Exchange-Pigeon Creek‼️🌳

✳️To be eligible you must live in the Pigeon Creek watershed.
✳️Send us proof of you removing your Bradford Pear and we will replace it with a redbud, dogwood, post oak or swamp white oak.
✳️Max of 4 replacements per address!
✳️Pickup replacement trees on May 2nd from 9-11 am at Wesselman Park Shelter house #1.
✳️Call 812-423-4426 x3 or email [email protected] with address and proof of removal of your Bradford tree.

Thank you to all of our volunteers that showed up today to help plant our final volunteer tree plantings for 2025. We planted 40 trees at the Evansville State Hospital. Thank you to solid waste District for funding the trees. And thank you to Jennifer Roll and Jessica Spicer for helping organize volunteers for the event.
