Our mission is to contribute to the safety and security of our citizens, ports, and waterways. We balance our primary missions of Recreational Boating Safety and USCG support with Maritime Homeland Security. Coast Guard Auxiliary's goals and strategies are to ensure the public has a safe, secure, and enjoyable recreational boating experience by implementing programs that minimize the loss of life, personal injury, and property damage while cooperating with environmental and national security efforts. The USCG Auxiliary can be found in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Guam. The four organizational levels of the USCG Auxiliary are: National, District, Division, and Flotilla. A Flotilla is the basic organizational unit of the Auxiliary and is comprised of at least 15 qualified members who carry out the day-to-day missions of "Team Coast Guard". Every Auxiliary member is part of a Flotilla. This is the Evansville, IN USCG Auxiliary Flotilla’s page. Our two main areas of operation are Recreational Boating Safety and Vessel Safety Checks. Our Public Education program offers Boating Safely Courses every year, sometimes twice. You can find us at various boat ramps in the Evansville, IN area during summer offering complimentary Vessel Safety Checks. Please visit www.cgaux.org to learn more about the USCG Auxiliary.
