Update: Countyside Drive will be finished today September 11, 2026!
Tomorrow, Saturday September 12, 2026 the work on Lincoln Street will be completed-as long as the weather remains good.

Mill Work and Overlay will occur on Countryside Dr on Friday, September 11th 2026. Please keep an eye out for posted NO PARKING signs and plan accordingly

🚧 Lincoln Street Milling Update 🚧

Milling work on Lincoln Street is ready to begin!

The current plan is to mill as much of the street as possible 9/3/2026. No Parking signs will be posted in areas where work needs to continue, with crews planning to finish the remaining work.

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE: As school starts in most Wisconsin districts this week, you’ll start to see more school buses on the roads again. Here’s a reminder of what the different colored lights on a school bus indicate and what you should do if they’re flashing:

🟠Amber Warning Lights: The school bus is about to stop. Slow down and prepare to stop.

🔴Red Warning Lights: Stop at least 20 feet from the bus whether approaching from either direction. The only exception is if you are traveling on the other side of a divided road that’s separated by a median or other physical barrier.

🚧 Crosswalk Painting Tomorrow on Main St. 🚧

We will be painting the crosswalks on Main St. tomorrow. For everyone’s safety and to allow the paint to properly dry, please go around the cones and do not walk or drive through the coned-off areas.

Signs finally came in and are up downtown. Scooters and bikes are to be walked through the business area downtown (1st to Allen Creek). Most store front don’t have visibility of the sidewalk so when their patrons step out, they’re risking a collision. Please talk to your kiddos about this so they understand the signs. They may use the sidewalk but need to hop off and walk their bikes and scooters through those couple blocks.

An iPhone was turned into the police department that was found on S Second St near the JC McKenna Middle School. If you are the owner or know who the phone belongs to please call the Rock County non emergency number at 608-757-2244 to speak with an officer and have the phone returned.

A set of keys was located at the intersection of S Madison St. and Water Street. If you are the owner of these keys you can retrieve them from the Evansville Police Department. Please be able to describe them to prove ownership.
