Yusuf Sori Disiksa Oleh Aparat Militer Indonesia Di Pos Militer Dan Aparat Militer Indonesia Mengakui Dua Anggota Tewas Dan Satu Lainnya Luka-luka Serta TPNPB Meminta Kepada Presiden Prabowo Subianto Agar Menarik Pos-pos Militer Dari Pemukiman Warga Sipil Demi Keamanan Warga

Siaran Pers Manajemen Markas Pusat KOMNAS TPNPB Per Senin, 23 Maret 2026

Silahkan Ikuti Laporan Dibawa Ini.!

Yusuf Sori Tortured by Indonesian Military Personnel at a Military Post; Indonesian Military Admits Two Members Killed and One Injured; TPNPB Calls on President Prabowo Subianto to Withdraw Military Posts from Civilian Settlements for the Sake of Civilian Safety

Press Release from the Central Headquarters Management of KOMNAS TPNPB, as of Monday, March 23, 2026

Please Read the Report Below!

The Central Headquarters Management of KOMNAS TPNPB has received a report from the TPNPB Information and Security (P*S) division in Maybrat, dated Monday, March 23, 2026, stating that Yusuf Sori—a civilian—was arrested, bound hand and foot to a tree, and subsequently tortured by military personnel in Maybrat Regency on March 22, 2026. The TPNPB P*S also reported that, in addition to Yusuf Sori, two other civilians are currently detained at the Tambrauw District Police Station, and four others are being held at the Sorong Regional Police Headquarters; meanwhile, eight other civilians have been released from the Tambrauw District Police Station and have returned to their home village of Banfot. The report further indicates that the six civilians currently remaining in detention—held by Indonesian military personnel in Tambrauw and Sorong—have also been subjected to torture while in custody, similar to the treatment experienced by Yusuf Sori.

The Central Headquarters Management of KOMNAS TPNPB also reports that the arrest of these dozen-odd civilians was a direct consequence of an attack and armed engagement between TPNPB forces in Tambrauw and Indonesian military personnel stationed at a post located in the center of Sori Village. This engagement resulted in the deaths of two Indonesian military personnel, while one other sustained injuries and remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, the Head of Information for Military Regional Command (Kodam) XVIII/Kasuari—Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry) J. Daniel P. Manalu—has confirmed that an armed exchange did indeed take place in Maybrat, resulting in the deaths of his subordinates. In addition to the loss of life, the P*S TPNPB also reports that two long-barreled fi****ms, ammunition, and logistical supplies belonging to Indonesian military personnel have been seized by the TPNPB and are currently located at the TPNPB Headquarters.

In this regard, the Central Headquarters Management of KOMNAS TPNPB calls upon all international, national, and local human rights organizations to assist the civilians who have fallen victim to arrests and torture perpetrated by Indonesian military personnel in Tambrauw Regency. Furthermore, we demand the immediate release of all civilians currently being held at Indonesian military bases in Tambrauw Regency and Sorong City, as they were not involved in the attack on the Indonesian military post in Sori Village; moreover, all TPNPB forces involved in that incident have already returned to the TPNPB Headquarters.

We also firmly urge President Prabowo Subianto to immediately withdraw his troops from civilian settlements in Maybrat and other areas of armed conflict across the Land of Papua, in order to prevent the arrest and torture of civilians during attacks carried out by TPNPB forces. We view the placement of Indonesian military posts within civilian settlements in conflict zones as a state-orchestrated scenario designed to sacrifice civilians—or, more precisely, to deliberately use residents as human shields. Under this scenario, when the TPNPB launches an attack against Indonesian military personnel, the military responds with retaliatory strikes against civilians, who are then falsely accused of being complicit with the TPNPB.

Therefore, we call upon President Prabowo Subianto to immediately withdraw all Indonesian military personnel currently occupying civilian settlements. We further demand that all schools, government offices, village halls, private residences, and hospitals—which are currently being utilized as military posts—be immediately vacated, and that all civilian assets be returned to civilian control. Additionally, we request that the Indonesian military establish its posts outside of civilian settlements to ensure the safety and security of the residents.

This concludes the Press Release issued by the Central Headquarters Management of KOMNAS TPNPB, dated Monday, March 23, 2026, presented by Sebby Sambom, Spokesperson for the TPNPB-OPM. And thank you for your kind cooperation.

Indonesia's AI helicopter drone

Indonesia was reported to have used a Blowfish A3 drone when it bombed the Papuan village Kiwirok deep in the mountains.
The drone looks like a mini helicopter and which can fire mini-rockets from tubes attached to the bottom of the fuselage.
With AI-powered software, the Blowfish can also swarm with drone pals to work together and hunt down a target in unison.
The drone dropped converted mortar shells which were bought by Indonesia's spy agency from Serbia, according to a report provided to Reuters.
No one was killed, although homes and several churches burned down, the Conflict Armament Research group in London found.
Local pastor Yahya Uopmabin said: "They dropped bombs with drones... Places of worship, houses of residents were burning."
Indonesia's military denied it had dropped the bombs. Taken from the US Sun News.
