The City of Everett, WA is hosting a series of Waterfront Watch Parties for games over the next two weeks! There will be fun for all ages and I hope you can join. Please plan ahead for travels and bring your sunscreen! 🚴🚌 🛴 👣

There will also be seven graduations over the next four days at Angel Of The Winds Arena, plus the amazing The Everett Farmers Market on Sunday so please keep that in mind if you're in the downtown area as well.

Everett has some amazing things going on this summer and I hope you enjoy all that there is to offer in the city!

Coming to today’s Waterfront Watch Party for the Mexico vs South Africa match? Expect heavier-than-normal traffic near the waterfront before and after the event. Allow extra travel time and consider walking, biking, transit or carpooling when possible.

The match starts at 12 p.m. and the Fan Zone opens at 10 a.m.

Jackson Elementary Schools.WA will be soon celebrating not just the end of the school year, but the end of the school building itself! Community members are welcome to join the Jackson Elementary PTA's Year End BBQ and walk through the school building one last time before demolition over the summer. The school opened in 1948 and I know those halls have many memories! The event is Friday, June 12, starting at 5:30p. More info on the event below, and in the comments I'll put a link to the construction page for more information about the new school which will open in September.

A reminder to Lowell residents or folks traveling through the Lowell Neighborhood heading east: Lenora street is closed for about a month so City of Everett Public Works staff can start work on the Lenora Regional Stormwater Project. Check out the project page for more information:

This stormwater storage facility will improve water quality and reduce local flooding by storing and treating stormwater before it is released into the Snohomish River.
