On July 31, 2025, Detective Daniel Wall demonstrated extraordinary bravery during a violent multi-city incident involving an armed suspect who led police on a dangerous pursuit through several communities before crashing in Everett and attempting multiple armed carjackings while wielding a knife. After the suspect attempted to hijack a garbage truck and struggled with the driver, Detective Wall, fearing for the driver’s safety and without regard for his own, entered the cab of the truck and pulled the driver to safety. The suspect then fled in the truck before crashing on the Alford Street Bridge, where Detective Wall and responding troopers took him into custody. Despite the danger and chaos of the situation, Detective Wall also rendered life-saving medical aid to the suspect by applying a tourniquet to stop severe bleeding. For his courage, decisive actions, and unwavering commitment to protecting the public, Detective Daniel Wall is deserving of the Medal of Valor.
