🐰💙Attention bunny lovers! 🩷🐰

We'll soon have 8-10 bunnies ready for adoption or foster homes! We'd love to get them out of the shelter as soon as possible, and many will be ready for new homes very soon.

If you're interested, you can fill out a small animal adoption form or a foster application, and we'll be in touch.

Yesterday it was kittens, and today it’s puppies. We just welcomed 10 puppies (6–7 weeks old) into our care.

That puts us at 132 animals in the shelter and 95 in foster homes...otherwise known as “maximum capacity.” Our team is currently handling 120+ dog poops a day, more litter boxes than we care to count, and enough cleaning, washing, and feeding to qualify for a new CrossFit category. And that’s before we even get to vaccines, intake exams, surgeries and so much more.

If you’re able to support us while we’re bursting at the seams, it truly helps us keep every tail wagging and every tiny tummy fed. Thank you for being in our corner when the animal chaos reaches maximum capacity. everettwa.gov/shelterdonations

Yesterday we had an emergency intake of 21 kittens, and we’re in need of a few essentials to help them grow strong — especially scales (to track daily weight gain) and bottles for feeding.

If you’d like to help, you can purchase these items from our registry. Once we’ve received the amount we need, each item automatically disappears so we don’t end up with extras. We’re incredibly grateful for your support.

"Please don’t eat anything you find on the floor.”

Last summer our staff went through training with the team at Dogs Playing for Life and now run daily play groups at the shelter. These play groups allow our staff to learn so much about each dog, lets the dogs burn off some much-needed energy, gain confidence and so much more.

🌎 It’s World Bicycle Day! 🚲

Here’s to fresh air, outdoor adventures, and the pets who make every moment outside a little more fun.

Whether you’re biking, walking, or just enjoying the outdoors, our shelter dogs would love to join you on your next adventure. And if you’re not ready to adopt, you can still help by becoming a volunteer or participating in our Wandering Rover program, many of our pups are looking for walking buddies. 📸 Show us your pets!
Drop a photo in the comments of your furry friend enjoying a bike ride, a trail, or just soaking up the great outdoors. We’d love to see them living their best adventure life.

🩷 HAPPENING NOW 🩷

21 sick kittens arrived at the shelter just now. They are very young — the smallest is only 12 days old, and the oldest is about 6 weeks.

Many of them have colds, fleas, and other health problems. Some also appear to have swimmer syndrome, a condition where a kitten’s legs stick out to the sides, making it hard for them to stand or walk. These kittens will need physical therapy, special care, and lots of time to get better.

This was an emergency intake, and our team is working quickly to check each kitten, begin treatment, and help them feel safe and warm.

Caring for animals in crisis is expensive and unexpected, and we can only say “yes” to cases like this with help from our community.

💙 HOW YOU CAN HELP 💙

- Donate to our Fund for the Animals — your gift directly pays for the care of these kittens: https://tinyurl.com/easkittens2026

- We are low on scales, which are needed to track kitten weights in foster homes, and bottles. You can purchase them from our registry; we only need a certain amount so the item will go away when fulfilled: https://a.co/0hZMVTpp
