The City of Everett is now accepting applications for volunteer positions on its boards and commissions beginning today.

Boards and commissions bring community members together to provide advice, share expertise and help inform City decisions on a variety of topics that affect Everett. Whether you've served on a board before or are looking for your first opportunity to get involved, we'd love to hear from you!

Applications will be accepted through Oct. 15. Learn more about open volunteer positions and how you can apply by visiting everettwa.gov/boards.

Imagine being with a loved one, friend, coworker, or even a stranger when they suddenly collapse and stop breathing. In that moment, every second matters—and knowing what to do can make an incredible difference.

CPR is a skill that anyone can learn. You don’t have to be a healthcare professional or an emergency responder to make a difference. With training, you can learn how to recognize an emergency, perform effective chest compressions, use an AED, and help with confidence while first responders are on their way.

🚨 Why learn CPR?

- Be prepared to help during a critical moment.
- CPR skills can give you confidence instead of feeling helpless during an emergency.
- Knowing how to use an AED can be an important part of responding to cardiac emergencies.
- The skills you learn can benefit your family, workplace, school, and community.
- Most importantly, being prepared means you’re ready to act when every second counts.

📚 Our upcoming CPR classes are a great opportunity to learn these potentially lifesaving skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Visit our website to register for an upcoming class! https://bit.ly/4A5uSEG

Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, caregiver, healthcare professional, business owner, or simply someone who wants to be prepared, CPR training is a skill worth having.

Get trained. Be confident. Because safety starts with you.
