GiveBIG is Washington State’s largest annual fundraising campaign, uniting individuals, nonprofits, and businesses to support local communities.

GiveBIG 2026 is here—and so is a critical moment for children in Snohomish County.

Dolly Parton Imagination Library currently delivers free books each month to 12,500+ local children. But recent cuts to state matching funds have created an immediate funding shortfall.

âť—Without action now, families could lose access to this proven early literacy program.âť—

Early giving is open now through May 5—but the window to secure funding is short. Your gift today helps close the gap and ensures books continue reaching the children who need them most.

đź“–$31 = one child, one year of books.
📚$156 = one child, five years of books.
This is a moment where timing matters.

Since 2023, United Way of Snohomish County has delivered more than 300,000 books to young children through our partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

📖 Each book supports early brain development, language skills, and school readiness—key predictors of long-term academic success. 📚

âť—But sustaining this impact requires continued investment.âť—

Recent state funding cuts have created a gap that must be filled locally to keep the program running at full scale. Through GiveBIG, you can directly support a program with measurable outcomes and lasting community impact.

📖 $31 provides one child with an entire year of books—12 opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. 📚

When you give, you’re not just donating—you’re investing in the future of our community. Support continued, local impact at https://tinyurl.com/4urvxnw3

Right now in Snohomish County, thousands of children are building their very first home libraries—one book at a time.

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a new book arrives in their mailbox each month. For many families, it’s a moment of connection, curiosity, and joy—a chance to read together, learn together, and dream bigger.

âť—But that moment is at risk.âť—

Recent cuts to state matching funds have created a critical funding gap, putting this beloved program—and the children it serves—in jeopardy.

Your support during the 2026 GiveBIG campaign can keep these books arriving at doorsteps across our community.
