The Evergreen Metro District is excited about the early September completion of their new Biosolids press and solids handling building at their wastewater treatment plant on Meadow Drive. Once completed, this project will offer the district significant benefits in efficiency and cost of how Biosolids are handled.

Is your toilet leaking? 😢💧
Oftentimes when there is a leak in the toilet, you can't hear it, or see it.. So is it even there? Yes! To test your toilet for a leak try the dye test. This test only takes a few minutes and you can catch that troublesome leak that causes unexpected high bills.

Here is how you preform the test:
1. Remove the cover on the top of your toilet.
2. Add 10-12 drops of dark food coloring or a specialized dye tablet into the water tank.
3. Do not flush or use the toilet for 15-20 minutes.
4. Check the toilet bowl to see if any color inside of it. If the water in the bowl matches the dye that you put in the tank that indicates there is a leak

Update on current drought conditions: Evergreen Metropolitan District is currently in Drought Level 2 ⚠
At this time mandatory water restrictions are in place.
This restrictions include the following:
- Outdoor watering is limited to a maximum of three days per week.
- Irrigation is limited to 30 minutes per zone on watering days.
- Please prioritize watering for trees and shrubs over turf/grass.
- Golf courses, public parks, and ballfields are reducing irrigation by approximately 30%.
- Outdoor watering is only allowed before 10:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. (permanent restriction).
- Bulk water hauling is limited to indoor household and livestock use only.
- Drought Level 2 water rates are now in effect.
Drought conditions are evaluated throughout the billing period. If drought stages change during the month, rates are based on the stage that was in effect for most of the billing cycle. As a result, your bill may reflect a lower drought stage if it applied for the majority of the month

Hello, Evergreen!

We are aware of the reports of yellow or dirty-looking water in some areas. Unfortunately, some mineral deposits in the main transmission lines were stirred up, which is causing the discoloration.

If you are experiencing yellow or dirty water, please run your cold water through the largest faucet in your home until the water runs clear. This may take 20–30 minutes.

PSA: If you are experiencing water quality issues, please remember to report them to our office. Reporting these issues helps us identify affected areas and monitor the situation.

Good Morning Evergreen! 🌲
Today, August 4, and Wednesday, August 5, the soft trail near the Evergreen Water Plant and the garden area will be closed due to ongoing Dam Outlet work.

This closure is limited to the soft trail behind the Water Plant. However, please note that the stairs leading from the dam along Highway 74 will remain closed for the duration of the project.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these important improvements.
