🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL TOMORROW! 🚌

Tuesday marks the first official day of school for Everman ISD! We all know what that means…

🚗 🚙 🛻 🚛 🚐 🚌 … TRAFFIC!

Traffic around our schools and throughout the community will be exceptionally heavy over the next several days as everyone settles back into their school-year routines.

Here are a few tips to help make your commute as safe and smooth as possible:

⏰ 1. LEAVE EARLY & PACK YOUR PATIENCE!
Give yourself some extra time. Our officers will be out in force helping facilitate traffic flow at major intersections near our schools. Please pay attention to officers directing traffic, slow down, and expect delays, especially during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.

🚸 2. SLOW DOWN & WATCH FOR KIDS!
Many students and families will be walking and biking near our schools. Please slow down, stay alert, put the phone away, and keep an extra eye out at crosswalks and intersections. A few extra seconds can make all the difference.

🚗 3. KNOW YOUR ROUTE BEFORE YOU GO!
Parents and guardians, please familiarize yourself with your school’s designated traffic lanes, entrances, exits, pickup areas, and drop-off locations before you arrive. Following the designated traffic plan helps keep vehicles moving and, most importantly, keeps our students safe.

🚌 4. WATCH FOR SCHOOL BUSES!
School buses will be back on the roads making frequent stops throughout our neighborhoods. Be alert and remember to obey all laws regarding stopped school buses and flashing red lights.

👮 5. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FROM OFFICERS & SCHOOL STAFF
Traffic patterns may be temporarily adjusted to keep vehicles moving safely. Please follow the directions of officers, crossing guards, and school personnel, even if it means your normal route takes a little longer.

❤️ Most importantly, please be patient and courteous with one another. Everyone has somewhere to be, and everyone wants to get there safely.
