A Watered Garden Family Learning Center Watering seeds of change for effective family transformation, through adult and family education

Families are transformed through various literacy programs designed for non-native and native English speakers. Friendly, dedicated staff encourage students to reach their full potential. Confidence gained inspires students to apply their new literacy skills with family and friends, and opens lines of communication more effectively within the community. We are part of a county project for bringing

opportunities to families which will increase the capacity to move from poverty to prosperity in health, education, housing and employment through inter-agency collaboration.

We’re hosting a free holiday meal this Wednesday, Dec. 17 and another one on Christmas Eve! Both meals will be at Maple Alley Inn in Bellingham, and anyone in need is invited.


Time: 11:30 am to 1 pm

Dates: Dec. 17 and 24

Location: Faith Lutheran Church (2750 McLeod Rd, Bellingham)

Our friends Sylvia and Christina, both family services providers for Nooksack and Mt. Baker school districts lost their dad on Friday while he and their mom were here for a family visit.

We're sad to announce that our Holiday Meal scheduled for tomorrow, December 18th, has been canceled because of possible whooping cough exposure. We will miss gathering with you, but we pray you and your family have a beautiful (and healthy!) holiday season and look forward to seeing you at our next community event!
