Latest update from West Penn Power as of 11 PM Monday regarding power restoration.

Everson Borough still has 35 customers without power and Upper Tyrone Township has 191 without power. The projected restoration time has again changed to Tuesday June 9th by 11 PM. Power was restored to the firehouse around 8:15 this evening.

For those still without power you may text STAT to 544487 to receive an update from West Penn Power.

Update from West Penn Power regarding power restoration for Everson Borough and Upper Tyrone Township.

Currently there are 394 Borough customers including our firehouse without power and 439 Township customers without power. The latest restoration update has changed to Monday evening at 11 PM.

There are still some road closures as well as lane restrictions. Continue to use caution driving through the area.

Also as per state law, when traffic signals are not working, drivers must treat the intersection as a 4 way stop. Several times while responding onto Rt 119 yesterday and today, drivers were not abiding by the law. Please use caution and drive safely.

With this afternoon’s severe storm, we have responded to numerous incidents including a tree down on an occupied vehicle and trees in buildings. We are still working through the list. If you’ve made a 911 call and it’s not a life hazard we will eventually get to it.

Treat all power lines down as energized and do not approach them.
