Happy Aloha Saturday! Please remember that election day is in only 7 days away....Absentee ballots are out and I am humbled and excited by the response from my Community, as my 1st mailer hit residents hale's today! My qualifications range to this, my 3rd career. I have been a Healthcare provider for over 18 yrs as an Optometrist/Optician in NYC and NJ, when moving to Ewa Beach over 10 yrs ago, I decided that with the amount chronic illness and debilitating diseases reaching our keiki and future generations, that opening a Not for Profit called West O`ahu Hope For A Cure A Foundation, Inc., to provide Preventative Solutions and Compassionate Care for at risk Youth and young Adults that are affected or afflicted by HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and Alcoholism/Addiction is an initiative I have been proud to assert my efforts to. Eight yrs in the making and the Organization is stable enough that I feel comfortable stepping down if elected and move to the Advisory Board for lack of conflict of interest. Since 2003, I have been running effective Bills through our Legislature resulting in over a half a million dollars appropriated for those in need so with my past experiences, I want to move the Ewa Community in a Progressive directions and on the correct path for our future generations.
