JohnCifelliNOW- John Cifelli for Ewing Town Council

JohnCifelliNOW- John Cifelli for Ewing Town Council The home of John Cifelli's 2011 campaign for Ewing Town Council He offers a rational voice to offer alternative views which the taxpayers of Ewing desire.

A critic of deficit spending and heavy taxation, John seeks a budget not balanced on the backs of taxpayers. Cifelli believes the current all-Democrat Council and administration, which has simultaneously cut services and raised taxes, needs to open the decision making process to the public.

Today I walked a lonely path, pulling up my lawnsigns around town. As I am yanking up one at the intersection of Federal City and Ewingville, a guy in a silver Mustang whizzes by and yells, "Great job, John! We will get 'em next time!" Thanks, stranger!

Thank you, Ewing, for the support. So much good has come of this race for me, and I will pay it back, one way or another.

Win, lose or draw, the experience has been well worth it! I can't thank enough my DOZENS of volunteers who pushed for my election. Only one thing left to do now!

You can hear my most recent interview tonight on 90.3 The Core, during their new program "A Proper Gander." The segment will air some time between 7:00 and 7:30pm.

My yard signs symbolize the support of the home inside. I proudly occupy the lawn of two gas station owners, four private and public school teachers, a hardware store owner, two realtors, a lawyer, a former mayor, a bar owner, manufacturing line worker, two retired marines, a FEMA manager, a home design business owner, a former police captain, a member of the school board, a salon owner, and even a corrections officer, just to name a few. I will represent ALL Ewing residents when elected!

I am flattered that George H. Cook, who won Rutgers's land-grant status from the NJ legislature, is keeping up with my campaign!

Both candidates agreed that the municipal tax rate is among the top issues facing township residents

Trick or treat...I think I got more votes than candy tonight, and going door to door as a "creepy local politician" certainly seemed to win some support!

The foul weather on Saturday effectively cancelled Community Day, and so dozens of homeless animals didn't get to show off for the crowd. If you are considering bringing a new friend into your household, skip the pet store and consider one of Ewing's shelter cats and dogs.

When an animal shelter gets smaller as it moves to a new site, there's only one acceptable solution. Is it just some people, or do pets feel the same way about wearing costumes and parading? A happy cat's more important than a good night's sleep -- all nibbled toes to the contrary.
