National Night Out (NNO) is an annual celebration of community held by police departments across the country. It is held on the first Tuesday night in August. It began originally as an event where you would turn on your front porch light and sit outside to prevent crime. Today it has evolved into block parties, cookouts, parades, visits from police, festivals, neighborhood walks, safety fairs, contests, rallies, and meetings nationwide. In Ewing, the Police have hosted the event in recent years at the Ewing Senior and Community Center at 999 Lower Ferry Road and includes food, music, fire trucks, representatives from local community groups, and more. Ewing's National Night Out will be held on August 2, 2022.
