We are so proud of these students!

Three Lee County students placed second in the High School division at the 2026 SWVA Can Code Pitchfest and Student Showcase. Pictured are Heidi Stidham 9th grader at LHS, Bethany Singleton and Jacob Miele 9th graders at TWHS. SWVA Can Code Camps are designed to challenge students in grades 5 through 12 to code and develop an app prototype that addresses a key economic or community need. The Lee County camp was held in June and the winning groups were invited to pitch their app design at UVA Wise. The groups had 3 minutes to pitch their app design to a panel of judges. Congratulations again to these students and their instructors, Kelly Odom and Emily Ball.

Week one is behind us and now we prepare for a BIG week 2! The Pioneers will travel to Five Star Stadium to take on the Generals in the Battle for the Musket!
