The thirteen.
This coming Tuesday is Election Day. Along with the many Federal mid-term races to determine the makeup of our Federal legislative branch, we in New Hampshire are also deciding the direction of our General Court, which is not only the largest legislative body in the United States but the fourth largest English speaking legislative body in the world.
We have existed as a part of the United States from it's inception. From the raid on Fort William and Mary that armed the Battle of Lexington to Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown New Hampshire's own fought for the United States. In every battle required of her to preserve this Union and the country it helped to found NH citizens have layed down their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to preserve it. And here we are in 2022.
In March of this year these 13 people had the gall to spit on the sacrifice of those citizens to provide them, their own posterity by presenting legislation in our General Court to secede from that Union: Mr. Abramson of Seabrook, Mr. Sylvia of Belmont, Mr.Santonastaso of Rindge, Mr. Green of Hampstead, Mr. Howard of Alton, Ms. Kelley of Temple, Mr. Terry of Alton, Mr. Warden of Manchester, Mr. Yokela of Fremont, Mr. Bershtein of Nottingham, Mr. Bailey of Milton, Mr. Aldrich of Gilford and Mr. Dodge of Raymond. They think themselves above the Constitution they swore to uphold.
There are so many people around the world who would give anything and everything to live in the United States but these people wanted to separate our great State from it. To borrow a quote: "America, love it or leave it." If these entitled individuals feel like our country is not good enough for them, let's start their journey and give them permission to take their leave and try their fortunes elsewhere by relieving them of their seats.
E Pluribus Unum.
