๐บ๐ธโค๏ธ A Message From The Parade Committee โค๏ธ๐บ๐ธ
It is with truly heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this yearโs Exeter Memorial Day Parade due to the expected weather conditions.
This decision was incredibly difficult for our committee. For months, countless hours have gone into planning this special day for our community โ organizing marchers, coordinating vendors, planning ceremonies, arranging entertainment, decorating floats, preparing for Americaโs 250th celebration, and working hard to create a meaningful Memorial Day event for Exeter.
While we are deeply disappointed, the safety of our community will always come first.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
๐บ๐ธ Our volunteers and parade committee
๐บ๐ธ The veterans we proudly honor each year
๐บ๐ธ Our marchers, performers, and float participants
๐บ๐ธ Local police, fire, and emergency personnel
๐บ๐ธ Our amazing food vendors and small businesses
๐บ๐ธ Every individual, family, and business who donated or sponsored this event
Your support, generosity, and community spirit mean more than words can express.
Please know that donations made toward this yearโs parade are greatly appreciated and will help us continue this beloved tradition and work toward making next yearโs celebration even more special.
Although the parade may not happen this year, the meaning behind Memorial Day remains just as important. We encourage everyone to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedoms.
Thank you, Exeter, for always showing up with pride, kindness, and community spirit. โค๏ธ๐ค๐
