📚🍷 BOOK CLUB IS BACK! 🍷📚
Well…summer was busy, so our book club took a little vacation. 😂 But we’re back and ready to get together again!
We’re kicking things off with The Watchmaker’s Daughter by Larry Loftis on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:00 PM.
Our book club is pretty simple: we talk about the book (if you want to, no one will make you get up and speak in front of everyone🤣), eat some snacks, laugh a lot, and even have a little wine. 🍷😂 There’s no fancy book-club behavior required!
And PLEASE don’t let the book not being finished stop you from coming! Read it, listen to it, get halfway through it, forget you even had it, or show up having absolutely no idea what we’re talking about…we’re still happy to have you! 🤣
It’s also a great way to meet new people, catch up with familiar faces, and maybe even discover a new favorite book. Sometimes book club is the perfect excuse to read something you wouldn’t normally pick up on your own. You might be surprised by what you end up loving!

That’s a wrap on this years 2026 Children’s Summer Reading Program, Plant A Seed…READ! We had a total of 137 registrations and out of those we had 76 complete their reading logs! Each kiddo that finishes their reading log for the summer not only gets to pick their own prize, but goes into a drawing for our grand prizes. This year the winners of the grand prizes were: Baron Simpson won four tickets to Sky Zone, Emmylou Clemson won four tickets to the Science Center of Iowa and Wrenley Johnson won four tickets to Adventureland Park ! As always, we would like to thank the generous donations we received from our local businesses and patrons to make this program happen every summer!
