The Covid 19 virus is all over the Eastern Shore, but it has not made it to Silver Beach....At least not yet anyway! We had two different families here this weekend and I could not have asked for a better time! The weather held out for everyone and it was just a beautiful weekend all the way around! This family was able to do so many things and had a great time doing it! I am sad to admit that the fishing is not good at all! The other activities kept all of the kids playing and they had the opportunity to be kids and have a great time doing it! That is what this is all about. I think I am ready for a very busy Summer and I know that I will be ready!

This was the storm this afternoon. The first pictures were in the morning and the second pictures were this afternoon. It was quite an interesting day, but everything was good. The water came up really high, but everyone was safe and no one got hurt. The wind it still showing itself, but it is not that bad at all. It was actually a great day!

I am so HUMBLED AND HONORED to have been asked to marry this wonderful couple! When Tina approached me and inquired if I would be able to marry she and her fiance', of course I wanted to! To the Northampton Court House we went to get the papers we would need to make it happen. Judge Lewis was very quick to get the papers signed and the ladies at the court house were quick to answer questions and be there to help me get it done the right way, so then we were off to prepare for the "Wedding at the Beach" This is the first time I have performed the entire ceremony and of course I was as nervous as one could be, but with the assistance of my great friends here at the beach and from Delaware, I was able to center my attentions on the actual ceremony that I was about to do. I kept reading the words that I had been writing down and going over them time and time again! I asked my friends from Delaware to go through the motions with me so I could make sure it all connected the right way and was able to "tweak" the vows and exchanging of the rings so it was clear and better to understand. I think we were all ready! My neighbors were able to provide the "Wedding March" for music and also made the most beautiful bouquet for her to carry and her grandson and granddaughter were the Flower girl and ring bearer! They were PERFECT and did such a great job and looked great as they walked! All of the family members from both sides came to witness this union of these blessed souls! There were a few that could not make it, but parents and immediate family did make the trip! It was beautiful having them all present and it really added to their Wedding Day! I do need to also thank my three friends who were quick to get these wonderful pictures for the couple! You guys ROCK and did a GREAT JOB!

Another family, who I am honored to call my friends have come back for their vacation and they also brought some new people to visit! The brought a boat with them, in hopes to catch some fish, but unfortunately, it seems as if the bay is really empty of fish this year! They were able to get some King Fish and Sand Mullet and one caught a really nice speckled Trout! It was really pretty!!! That was ok as they did get the chance to run around in the boat for a couple of days! It is always a great day when you get to go out in your boat...even if you do not catch a fish! We made up with it when we launched the Infamous Japanese Wish Lanterns! I pray that all of their wishes come true!

My cousins came to stay with me for a few days. It was great having them come and visit as I do not get to see them that often. The weather was perfect and the water was calm and warm! What more could you ask for!

There is nothing like having the chance to reconnect with great friends that you have had the pleasure of knowing all of your life. Even though we all had to grow up and go separate ways into so many different directions, it is a strong feeling of love that brings us all back together! How can you top that?

My dear and darling brothers from another mother came to visit me at the beach! WOW!!! What a great day this turned out to be! I have not seen these guys for SO MANY YEARS! I got to meet the one gentleman's beautiful wife and daughter and they are wonderful!!! I am so happy to say that he really picked a winner with this lady! When we were in high school, I had the pleasure of playing the Sax with the other gentleman all through elementary through high school and we were best buds all those years! I was as excited to hang out and catch up as any one person could be! The only thing I regret is that their mom was not able to make it over as the weather was not really looking that great, but I was able to see my friends! That met more to me than I can say! I have always looked at these guys as part of my extended family and have missed them and thought about them often! There was a dragon fly that landed on the oldest fella and decided to hang around him while they were here. A wave knocked him down, and this gentle soul saved him and actually took it home to keep it safe! How cool is that?? There are planning to return before they have to leave to go back to their homes away from the Shore, but I know I will be keeping more in touch with them than I have been. I guess I really did not realize the impact these guys actually did have in my life and I am so blessed and honored to have them as friends! I love you guys! Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule! I know you are both really busy, yet you took the time to spend a several hours over here. You really made me feel special and I am glad to see that I mean as much to you two as you mean to me! I will be seeing you again before you leave!
