🎉 Our ENTIRE WCASD team came together for Convocation to kick off the 2026–27 school year!

It was a morning filled with school spirit and plenty of reminders of the impact we have on our students and one another! 🌟 We had so much to celebrate, and even more to look forward to as we head into another school year together! 💙

✨ Freshman year is officially on the horizon! 🎉

Our incoming WCASD ninth graders spent some time getting familiar with their new school during Freshman Orientation! They toured the building, heard from their new administrators, got the inside scoop from current students during Q&As and had plenty of opportunities to meet new people along the way!

✨ A warm WCASD welcome to our newest educators!

This week, our new staff members are coming together for New Teacher Induction to get to know WCASD, hear from district leadership, connect with colleagues, and learn more about the people and resources available to support them throughout their first year!

We’re so excited to have them joining our schools and can’t wait to welcome them into the classroom on August 31! 🍎📚

And look at that - August 31 was the first day of school then, and it’s our first day back again this year! 👀 So, naturally, we had to take a little trip down memory lane!

WCASD is gearing up for the 2026–2027 school year! 📚

Over the past two weeks, educators from across the district came together for our annual Summer Spark professional learning days💡🌟 Staff had the opportunity to learn, collaborate, share ideas, and connect with colleagues as they prepare for the year ahead.

We’re grateful for the time and effort our WCASD team put into continuing to grow and learn, even during the summer, and we’re excited to see them bring that energy into the new school year!💙

📚 Over the past few weeks, all three of our middle schools have been welcoming incoming sixth graders for Transition Camp!

Students had the chance to tour their new school, meet future classmates through fun icebreaker activities, practice opening their lockers (a middle school milestone! 👏), and learn what to expect as they get ready for this exciting new chapter!

We can't wait to see these students back in their new hallways in just 24 days (but who's counting? 😉).
