Our first-ever Dumpster Day on May 9 was a huge success, with residents coming along to responsibly dispose of unwanted household items and electronic waste.

By the end of the event, we collected:
♻️ 24.61 tons of trash
🔌 5.04 tons of e-waste

A big thank you to Whitetail Disposal for providing crews, trucks, dumpsters, hauling, and disposal services that made the event possible. We also appreciate our dedicated Public Works team and Police Department for helping everything run safely and smoothly throughout the day.

With such a great turnout, we’re already exploring another Dumpster Day event this fall — stay tuned for updates! 👀

LIONVILLE STATION ROAD: NATATORIUM INFORMATION MEETING

On June 16, 2026, PhilAquatics will hold a Public Information Meeting on the natatorium proposed in the Planned Residential Development plan for the Lionville Station Road property. The applicant of record for this proposed project is Rockwell Downingtown, LLC.

Isaac Sports Group and representatives from PhilAquatics will present on the natatorium, the proposed facilities and operations, and speak to community benefits and community impacts.

Following the presentation, there will be a Q + A session, where residents can ask questions about the natatorium.

No Board of Supervisors action will be taken at the meeting – it is for residents to gain a better understanding of what is proposed.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 📣
We're creating a Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan, and are looking for community members to serve on a volunteer advisory committee.

Committee members will help guide the planning process by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and helping identify priorities for parks, trails, recreation programs, open space preservation, and community programming. The planning process will explore topics including park improvements, trail connections, recreation programming, accessibility, sustainability, and future community investments.

This is a great opportunity to:

• Help improve parks, trails, and recreation opportunities 🌳
• Support long-term planning and quality of life initiatives ⏳
• Represent the needs and interests of Township residents 🙌

Uwchlan Township Vickers Pots will be on display at this exhibition at the Historic Yellow Springs, from now until August 9.

This free exhibition explores the theme of “radical compassion” and encourages viewers to consider how art can confront injustices while fostering connection.

Veterans and active military are welcome to participate in Free art making workshops led by our talented instructors.

Over 1,000 native plants found new homes during our Environmental Advisory Council’s Native Plant Species Day event at Baird Park on May 17! 😱

Residents enjoyed an educational talk from Katharina Henderson on supporting pollinators, growing native plants, and creating healthier ecosystems at home. Attendees also explored Baird Park’s pollinator gardens and nature trail maintained by the Heart of Uwchlan project. 🐝🦋
