We want to take a moment to thank Governor Josh Shapiro for his continued support of Pennsylvania’s disability community and for speaking directly to people with disabilities, their families, and the providers who support them.

As a disability provider, we strongly agree with the Governor’s message: people with disabilities deserve the opportunity to live full, meaningful lives with dignity, choice, inclusion, and the support they need to thrive in their communities.

At the Cerebral Palsy Association of Chester County, we see every day how important it is to listen to people with disabilities, respect their choices, support their independence, and make sure they have opportunities to be active and valued members of their communities.

We appreciate Governor Shapiro recognizing the importance of Pennsylvania’s disability community and the providers, families, caregivers, and advocates who stand beside them.

Join our partners on July 20th at 6PM for a virtual town hall on developmental disabilities and the two main systems serving Pennsylvanians who need long-term care — the waivers offered through the Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) and the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).
In this hour-long session, panelists will discuss how the OLTL and ODP systems differ and who each one serves. They'll share their experiences — both lived and professional — navigating these systems and the policies that govern them, with the goal of sparking dialogue on how to improve Pennsylvania's long-term care system. A live Q&A will follow the panel discussion.

Our May Storytellers group had so much fun painting pots donated by Craig and getting creative with colors and patterns! 🌿🎨 A special thank you to Crystal for bringing baby spider plants for everyone to take home. Each person left with a beautiful pot and a new little plant friend to care for! 💚

Canoe Race 2026 was a success!!! What an incredible day at the Northbrook Canoe Race! 🌊🚣‍♀️

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to support the Cerebral Palsy Association of Chester County. The weather was beautiful, the energy was amazing, and the sense of community truly carried us through the day. Your support means more than we can put into words.
