Come to Avon Grove Library on Saturday, August 15th from 11AM-4PM for a Blood Drive with Blood Bank of Delmarva!

The American Red Cross has declared only the second national blood supply crisis in its history, citing critically low blood donations and worsening shortages. This follows Blood Bank of Delmarva's own blood emergency of the summer in June. Nationally, experts estimate that just three additional donors at every blood drive this summer could help stabilize the blood supply. Your donations can make a meaningful difference for patients who rely on blood every day.

Tweens and teens, come to Paoli Library on Saturday, August 15 to meet Author Robin Gow and try your hand at poetry that "breaks the rules." Robin Gow is the author of the acclaimed novels in verse: Dear Mothman and Gooseberry. Saber-tooth, their newest book, is written entirely in verse (poetry). Together with Robin, dig into what it means to "break the rules" in poetry, how that's changed over time, and different approaches that poets, like Robin, have used to break forms and expectations.
