There is no such thing as justice anymore
An Eagan, Minn., man will spend less than six months in jail in connection to the March hit-and-run crash that killed 40-year-old Leslie Anne Youngberg as she and a companion walked from a venue near Nicols Road and Cliff Road.
Rolando Miranda Martinez, 59, pled guilty in April to one felony count of leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in death and was sentenced last Thursday in Dakota County District Court.
Miranda Martinez received a stayed 12-month prison sentence and was instead ordered to serve 180 days in local jail by Judge Luis Morales. Under Minnesota’s two-thirds rule, Miranda Martinez would only be required to serve 120 days or less incarcerated and will receive credit for 97 days already spent in jail.
