Who We are....we are your neighbors, friends, and community members. We look after our communities safety, not because we have too, but because we want too.

We come from all walks of life; mechanics, janitors, pharmacists, nurses, bankers, mothers, security personnel, safety professions, farmers, aid workers, educators, phlebotomists, students, retail professionals, computer programmers, and grocers just to name a few. We recognize the importance of someone being there to help anytime, day or night, without fail, we are here to help.

The Eyota Ambulance Service is celebrating 50 years of dedicated service to our community. We are planning an open house for the community May 17, 1 to 4 PM followed by a dinner for past and present crew members. We’d love your help reconnecting with former ambulance crew. If you or someone you know has served on our ambulance service, please contact us at [email protected]. We are also looking for photos or memorabilia from 1976 to present. If you have anything to share, we’d be thrilled to include it in our anniversary celebration.

Getting to know you - Eyota Volunteer Ambulance Edition

Tanya

Tanya has been with the ambulance service for just over 2 years. She is retired from the military reserves after 25 years and has worked at Olmsted Medical Center for the past 20 years. The last 8 as an analyst for the Clinical Informatics department. Tanya lives in Dover with her family and 2 huskies.

Fun Fact: Tanya is from a military family, and has lived in, been through or visited all 50 states and 12 countries.

Getting to know you - Eyota Ambulance Edition

Ben

Ben has been with us for about a year and a half. He started with us as a 17y/o high school senior EMR. He graduated from Byron high school and in 2025, he got his NR-EMT certification and has been working with us as an EMT since. Ben wants to become a Physician's Assistant eventually.
Fun Fact: Ben loves to sail and fly (he has his pilots license!)
