Tonight during our monthly meeting, County Legislator Dave Knapp along with Executive Director of the Onondaga County soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Mark Burger presented the Fabius Fire Department with an award plaque and banner for the Municipal Partner of the Year Award. The Fabius Fire Department earned this honor for their quick response to an over-turned manure truck leaking liquid manure. Fabius responded and extricated and provided medical treatment to the patient and then switched their efforts to spill response mode in order to protect the Fabius Brook, a premier trout stream in Onondaga County.

Memorial Day chicken BBQ 🇺🇸

Let's all take a moment to remember all those that have lost their lives serving our country.

Parade starts at 10:30 am

What an honor, the Fabius Fire Department will be the Grand marshals(s) for this year's parade.

Chicken BBQ halves only. Selling starts after the parade till-gone.

On Saturday March 8, 2025, the Fabis Fire Department held their annual installation banquet. The department was also being recognized for their 100 years of service this past year. Special guests included past President of the Onondaga County Fire Chiefs Association John Barrett and 2nd Vice President Blake Lonergan The Onondaga County Volunteer Fire Association (OCVFA) represented by Warren Darby, FASNY represented by Rick Nemier, and Onondaga County represented County Legislator David Knapp. The department received several letters, certificates and a nice plaque. Accepted by Vice President Charles Degroff.
The ladies Auxillary also celebrated 50 years and received a nice plaque from the Department.

We would also like to Thank Shari Schlicht for the generous nice hats she had made up for the top responders.

Thank you to Julie Wheatley for setting it all up from the invitations, programs, and lining up the wonderful appetizer display and caterer. The food was amazing!
