☀️ Spring Cleaning at the Station!
​The sun is finally out, and we are soaking up every bit of this beautiful spring weather! While it’s a great day to be outside, our crews are busy taking advantage of the sunshine for some essential maintenance.
​If you drive past the station today, you’ll see the bays open and the hose lines out. We’re giving our apparatus some extra TLC—specifically focusing on those undercarriages.

​Why the deep clean?
​It’s about more than just a shiny truck! Throughout the winter, road salt and de-icing chemicals build up underneath our apparatus.
If left alone, that salt leads to:
​Corrosion and Rust: Eating away at the frame and vital components.
​Mechanical Wear: Damaging brake lines and electrical sensors.
​Taxpayer Savings: By washing away the winter grime now, we significantly extend the life of these very expensive vehicles.

​We’re committed to making sure our equipment is always "ready for the call," and a little spring cleaning goes a long way in protecting the tools we use to protect you!

Earlier this afternoon, our crews responded to a fast-moving exterior fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a grass fire rapidly spreading toward a barn, an RV, and several vehicles.

​Thanks to the quick actions of our firefighters, we were able to stop the flames before they caused significant damage to the structures or vehicles. The fire was successfully contained to the original property.

​⚠️ Safety Reminder: Please use extreme caution with outdoor burning. While the ground may feel damp, surface fuels like tall grass are currently bone-dry and highly flammable. This specific fire was sparked by burning trash and quickly escaped control.
