8/27/26 - Working Fire
Today at 10:54 hrs, the Fair Lawn Fire Department was dispatched to the 2 block of Grunauer Pl for a reported fire. The first arriving Chief (8-0) reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the residence. Engine 4 was 2nd due and assisted with extinguishment and opening up with members of Engine 3. The fire was contained to the attic. No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation by Fair Lawn Fire Prevention

Hi Neighbors! Fair Lawn Fire Company 4 will be conducting a training in November with and are looking for donated household items to use. We are in search of the following items:
end tables
Coffee tables
(2) beds with mattresses (twin or full size preferably)
(1) dresser
Clean slop sink
Kitchen table and chairs

If you are able to help us out, it would be greatly appreciated! We will pick up! If you have any items you are looking to get rid of that can help us, contact Lieutenant Parker Talman, Captain Scott Greco, or shoot us a message here! Thank you for your support!

8/7/26 - last night at approx 22:27 hrs, the FLFD responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Morlot Ave for a report of smoke coming from the house. The first arriving Chief had smoke pushing from the attic and transmitted the working fire assignment. Engine 4 was 2nd due, brought a line to the attic, and assisted in extinguishment and overhaul with members of Engine 3. The fire was contained to the attic of the residence.

Tonight, just before 18:15 hrs, the fire department began responding to multiple storm related calls throughout the borough. Engine 4 responded to five of those calls, one of which being multiple vehicles in the water on McBride Ave with people reportedly trapped. Luckily, upon further investigation, nobody was inside the vehicle. Squad 1 assisted up the street with another vehicle and removed 1 occupant from his roof.
Engine 4 also responded to: an odor of burning in a residence on Rutgers Ter, a down wire on Sandford Rd, a tree down in the roadway on Fair Lawn Ave at Elmary Pl, and a fire alarm on Nevins Rd.

6/18/26 - at 16:32 hours, the FLFD was dispatched to the area of 20th St and Kipp St for a report of smoke in the area. The first arriving chief confirmed a large area of brush burning along the train tracks.
Members of E4 stretched a booster line and extinguished the fire along with members of E3.
