Today, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced $200 million in Community Wildfire Defense Grants to help at-risk communities protect homes, businesses and infrastructure from catastrophic wildfires. The investment will fund 58 projects to help communities in 22 states and 2 tribes develop community wildfire protection plans and remove overgrown vegetation that can fuel fires that threaten lives, livelihoods and resources.

🚨 USDA is proposing changes to strengthen stocking requirements for SNAP retailers. These changes would protect the program, participants, and taxpayers by mitigating fraud, waste, and abuse and ensuring additional healthy food options for recipient families.

Comments on the proposed rule from interested parties and the public may be submitted Sept. 25 - Nov. 24, 2025.
