I learned about this young man on my LFL Stewards page. His name is William Kamkwamba, and there is a book written about his story. It's called "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind." It's another example of how books can change the world.

Tonight I found a note on a book that someone left in our library, saying that the book should be BANNED (yes, in all caps). For those of you whose curiosity is now piqued, the book was "Rant" by Chuck Palanhiuk, and it's still in the library if you're dying to read it now that you know it created a little neighborhood controversy! Happy reading, friends and patrons!

I came home tonight and found this beautiful note in my library. It moved me to tears. THIS is the power of the Little Free Library movement.

My friend and colleague Vanessa brought her sweet nieces over to my library today to pick books and drop some off. These pictures of her nieces with their new books makes my heart sing. Oh, and Vanessa dropped off some cute picture books AND "Looking for Alaska" and "Wild"! Thank you, Vanessa, for visiting and for sharing your books with us!
