A summer learning opportunity for ELL students in grades K-8: Imagine Summer Reading Club at Hunter Elementary School from June 3rd-20th (Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-12:00 noon). Students will be working on their English language and literacy skills through art.

The Teaching and Learning Department is seeking community feedback on textbooks/materials in the following areas: Music, Spanish, Environmental Science, Marine Science, 6-12 English Language Learners, and Career Technical Education.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host the Fairbanks Curling Lions’ 34th annual Sparktacular celebration on Sunday, Dec. 31. Fireworks will be launched from UAF’s West Ridge starting at 8 p.m.
